Ong-Oaj Pairam’s evening dress featured in the latest Hello Magazine fashion editorial. The dress from Ong-Oaj Pairam Autumn Winter collection was inspired by pre-Raphaelite paintings.

The dress is based on a painted meadow lit by the moon light. It features over seven thousand flowers that were applied by hand onto the final dress. The flowers were created using various traditional materials and techniques.

Creating seven thousand embroidered flowers

Flowers were cut by hand from various shades of supple leather. The petals are then individually pressed and shaped to retain a three-dimensional shape. The remaining flowers were created from fine silk embroidery threads using traditional Irish embroidery.
